Flavours Matter
Not the authorities or the politicians, but adult smokers and vapers. For many, flavours are the decisive reason for moving away from cigarettes. If their favourite liquid disappears, the risk increases that they will return to tobacco cigarettes or turn to the black market. Bans don’t solve problems; they just push them underground.
Stop the flavour ban through. Belgium needs a policy of harm reduction instead of symbolic politics. Regulated, less harmful alternatives like e-cigarettes and nicotine pouches must be part of the solution, not the target of prohibitions.
