In our Partner Spotlight series, we shine a light on the WVA’s outstanding partners. They all advocate for the rights of vapers in their countries.

This week, we are speaking with Uche Olatunji, the president of THR Nigeria. He tells us all about the work that his organisation is doing to fight smoking in Nigeria.

THR NIGERIA is a non-profit organization, which focuses on promoting safer nicotine alternatives to smokers in Nigeria and also providing truthful and transparent information to smokers and the general public in the country.

Tobacco harms the well-being of Nigerian citizens. With over 16,000 death records from tobacco-related diseases, if nothing is done to reduce the harm by providing safer alternatives to nicotine administration this death toll will continue to grow.

I see WVA as a global community with a vested interest in aligning these shared interests across the globe. The need for us to be part of this alliance is to reach out, seek resources and achieve positive change in Nigeria.
