Le parti au pouvoir en Hongrie, le Fidesz, renforce sa position antitabac et nie les preuves scientifiques concernant les bienfaits potentiels du vapotage pour la santé publique. Le secrétaire d'État au ministère de l'Intérieur, Benec Rétvári, réaffirme que la Hongrie continuera de traiter le vapotage de la même manière que le tabagisme et ne lèvera pas l'interdiction des arômes dans les cigarettes électroniques.
Michael Landl, Director of the World Vapers’ Alliance, said: “It is shocking that the Hungarian government still peddles worn-out and debunked myths about vaping. Rétvári systematically ignores scientific evidence proving the benefits of vaping, not to mention the first-hand experience of millions of vapers.
