The We Vape We Vote Bus Tour is back! The tour is sponsored by AVM (American Vapor Manufacturers, ATR (Americans for Tax Reform), CASAA (Consumer Advocates for Smoke-Free Alternatives Association) and the Iowa Vape Association.
The tour that will make its way across the US, started October 8 in Arizona at J Vapes, which just so happens to be AVM’s President Amanda Wheeler’s vape shop. J Vapes even had Grover Norquist, the President of Americans for Tax Reform come out and make a very meaningful statement on adults’ right to harm reduction.
The tour coincides with the upcoming midterm congressional elections and is intended to “amplify the voices of vapers in the 2022 elections,” according to ATR. The tour’s goal is an important one. As it states on the We Vape We Vote website, “Every American should have the right to use vaping to quit cigarettes. Critical health decisions should be up to the individual. Not the FDA. Not the CDC. And certainly not the nanny-state politicians in Congress.”
The tour website shows the full map of stops and also has some interesting statistics about why vaping matters in elections. You can sign up for tour updates there as well.
The company I work for, Ecig Charleston, is lucky enough to be one of the featured tour stops. On October 24, we will be hosting an event at our Charleston location from 3-5 pm.
Small vape is lucky to have advocates like Amanda and others that make these kinds of events possible. If one of these tour stops is in your local area, please make sure you go out and show your support!
Now more than ever, it is important to let these elected officials know: We Vape, We Vote.
