Bryssel, 2 april 2026 \u2013 Den utv\u00e4rdering av EU:s tobaksregler<\/a> firar att tobaksdirektivet framg\u00e5ngsrikt minskar r\u00f6kningen trots att EU \u00e4r p\u00e5 v\u00e4g att missa sitt r\u00f6kfria m\u00e5l f\u00f6r 2040 med 70 \u00e5r.<\/b><\/b><\/p>\n

Rapporten \u00f6ppnar ocks\u00e5 d\u00f6rren f\u00f6r str\u00e4ngare regleringar och fullst\u00e4ndiga f\u00f6rbud mot vape, uppv\u00e4rmd tobak och nikotinp\u00e5sar, inklusive smak\u00e4mnen och eng\u00e5ngsprodukter, trots bevisad framg\u00e5ng<\/a> i Sverige, Tjeckien och Grekland genom att s\u00e4nka r\u00f6kningssiffrorna genom dessa tillg\u00e4ngliga alternativ.<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cRapporten hyllar en patetisk nedg\u00e5ng i r\u00f6kningen som garanterar att man missar r\u00f6kfria m\u00e5let f\u00f6r 2040 med \u00e5rtionden. Samtidigt attackerar den just de alternativ som gjorde Sverige r\u00f6kfritt, Tjeckien till EU:s snabbaste nedg\u00e5ng och Grekland till en v\u00e4ndpunkt.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

Rapporten ignorerar etablerade vetenskapliga bevis om alternativa nikotinprodukters l\u00e4gre riskprofil och effektivitet i r\u00f6kavv\u00e4njning. Den presenterar ocks\u00e5 alternativ som ink\u00f6rsportar till r\u00f6kning f\u00f6r ungdomar, trots att man erk\u00e4nner att ungdomars r\u00f6kning har minskat kraftigt.<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cDenna rapport \u00e4r uppenbart partisk och begraver vetenskapliga bevis om mindre skadliga alternativ som faktiskt fungerar. En uppdatering av Tobaksindustrin (TPD) baserad p\u00e5 denna rapport kommer att f\u00f6rhindra miljontals r\u00f6kare fr\u00e5n att byta till mindre skadliga alternativ och ge br\u00e4nsle \u00e5t en explosionsartad tillv\u00e4xt p\u00e5 illegala svarta marknader\u201d, sa G\u00f3mez Hern\u00e1ndez.<\/b><\/p>\n
