Bryssel, 17 juni 2025<\/strong> \u2013 World Vapers' Alliance (WVA) har utf\u00e4rdat en \u00f6ppet brev<\/a> till de europeiska h\u00e4lsoministrarna inf\u00f6r veckans EPSCO-r\u00e5dsm\u00f6te, d\u00e4r framtiden f\u00f6r tobaks- och nikotinpolitiken diskuteras. I brevet uppmanas beslutsfattarna att prioritera skademinskning och s\u00e4kerst\u00e4lla att vuxna r\u00f6kare har tillg\u00e5ng till s\u00e4krare alternativ som vaping och nikotinp\u00e5sar.<\/p>\n

L\u00e4nder som Sverige, Tjeckien och Grekland \u00e4r ledande inom skademinskning och utg\u00f6r en modell f\u00f6r resten av Europa. Sverige \u00e4r p\u00e5 v\u00e4g att bli det f\u00f6rsta r\u00f6kfria landet i Europa. Grekland har uppn\u00e5tt en dramatisk minskning med sex procentenheter i r\u00f6kningsprevalensen, medan Tjeckien har registrerat en minskning med sju procentenheter i r\u00f6kningssiffrorna mellan de senaste Eurobarometerunders\u00f6kningarna.<\/p>\n

\u201cDe obevekliga attackerna mot vaping och andra nikotinprodukter m\u00e5ste upph\u00f6ra. Dessa produkter \u00e4r l\u00f6sningen, inte problemet. Bevisen fr\u00e5n Sverige, Tjeckien och Grekland \u00e4r tydliga: att anamma skademinskning r\u00e4ddar liv och p\u00e5skyndar framstegen mot en r\u00f6kfri framtid.
