Aten, 16.4.2025. Konsumentorganisationer och vapingf\u00f6respr\u00e5kare fr\u00e5n Grekland och hela Europa, inklusive Grekiska Vapersalliansen och V\u00e4rldsvapersalliansen (WVA), sl\u00e5r larm \u00f6ver h\u00e4lsoministeriets f\u00f6reslaget f\u00f6rbud<\/a>\u00a0p\u00e5 alla vape-smaker utom tobak och mentol. De varnar f\u00f6r att denna \u00e5tg\u00e4rd riskerar att motverka Greklands h\u00e5rt vunna framsteg med att minska r\u00f6kningssiffrorna.<\/p>\n

Sedan 2019, d\u00e5 Grekland officiellt antog skademinskning som en central pelare i sin tobakskontrollpolitik, har landet v\u00e4nt den tidigare v\u00e4xande trenden med r\u00f6kning \u2013 en skarp kontrast till den stagnation som setts i stora delar av EU.<\/p>\n

\u201cEtt f\u00f6rbud mot smak\u00e4mnen skulle vara ett stort steg bak\u00e5t f\u00f6r folkh\u00e4lsan och skademinskning.\u201d.\u00a0Genom att st\u00f6dja ett f\u00f6rbud mot smak\u00e4mnen skulle beslutsfattare driva miljontals vuxna tillbaka till r\u00f6kning eller in p\u00e5 svarta marknaden, vilket skulle \u00e4ventyra liv och ignorera vetenskapliga bevis.<\/strong>\u00a0Vetenskaplig forskning visar konsekvent att smaker spelar en avg\u00f6rande roll f\u00f6r att hj\u00e4lpa r\u00f6kare att sluta.
