World Vapers' Alliance (WVA) har uppmanat EU:s h\u00e4lsoministrar till omedelbara \u00e5tg\u00e4rder f\u00f6r att anta vetenskapsbaserade strategier f\u00f6r att minska tobaksskador mitt i f\u00f6rseningarna i tobakslagstiftningen. Uppmaningen kom samtidigt som h\u00e4lsoministrarna samlades i Bryssel f\u00f6r en tv\u00e5dagarskonferens.\u00a0EPSCO-m\u00f6te<\/a>\u00a0d\u00e4r den europeiska planen mot cancer var ett av de viktigaste diskussions\u00e4mnena.<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n

Efter m\u00f6tet enades medlemmarna i r\u00e5det f\u00f6r syssels\u00e4ttning, socialpolitik, h\u00e4lsa och konsumentfr\u00e5gor (EPSCO) om dagordningen f\u00f6r majm\u00f6tet \u2013 som h\u00f6lls denna vecka. \u00c5terigen avb\u00f6jde de att h\u00e5lla en plattform f\u00f6r evidensbaserad diskussion om vapning och minskning av tobaksskador.<\/p>\n

Michael Landl, chef f\u00f6r WVA, kritiserade den nuvarande politiken och sa:\u00a0\u201cEU-kommissionen \u00e4r d\u00f6v f\u00f6r vetenskapen om tobakspolitik. Det \u00e4r kristallklart att s\u00e4krare nikotinalternativ som vaping eller nikotinp\u00e5sar \u00e4r betydligt mindre skadliga \u00e4n r\u00f6kning och effektivt hj\u00e4lper till att sluta r\u00f6ka.
