Infelizmente, a estrat\u00e9gia n\u00e3o aborda uma das principais causas de problemas de sa\u00fade: o tabagismo. A redu\u00e7\u00e3o dos danos causados pelo tabaco deve ser inclu\u00edda em uma estrat\u00e9gia desse tipo para combater as doen\u00e7as induzidas pelo tabagismo.<\/p>\n<p>Michael Landl, diretor da Alian\u00e7a Mundial de Cigarros Eletr\u00f4nicos, comentou:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cA Comiss\u00e3o Europeia est\u00e1, mais uma vez, ignorando a ci\u00eancia e a voz dos consumidores. A redu\u00e7\u00e3o dos danos causados pelo tabaco deve tornar-se um elemento fundamental de todas as pol\u00edticas de sa\u00fade da UE. Setecentas mil pessoas morrem todos os anos devido ao tabagismo e, ao mesmo tempo, a Comiss\u00e3o luta contra alternativas menos nocivas.
