Este projeto teria proibido a venda, entrega, troca, fornecimento ou doa\u00e7\u00e3o de produtos de nicotina l\u00edquida aromatizada a qualquer pessoa, entre outras pr\u00e1ticas. Os usu\u00e1rios adultos de cigarros eletr\u00f4nicos puderam respirar aliviados quando o governador Ron DeSantis vetou a legisla\u00e7\u00e3o, reconhecendo que &quot;cigarros eletr\u00f4nicos aromatizados s\u00e3o uma alternativa de risco reduzido aos cigarros convencionais&quot; e chegando a afirmar que essa &quot;legisla\u00e7\u00e3o quase certamente levaria mais pessoas a voltarem a fumar cigarros convencionais&quot; ou, pior, &quot;impulsionaria outras a um perigoso mercado negro&quot;.\u201c<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">O que aconteceu desde ent\u00e3o \u00e9 monumental. N\u00e3o s\u00f3 o uso de cigarros eletr\u00f4nicos entre os jovens diminuiu, como tamb\u00e9m o uso de cigarros convencionais entre eles.\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De acordo com dados de\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pesquisa sobre o uso de tabaco entre jovens na Fl\u00f3rida<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Em 2021, apenas 12,61% dos estudantes do ensino m\u00e9dio da Fl\u00f3rida relataram j\u00e1 ter usado cigarros convencionais e apenas 32,21% haviam experimentado cigarros eletr\u00f4nicos. Entre os estudantes do ensino fundamental, 7,21% haviam experimentado cigarros convencionais e 16,21% haviam experimentado cigarros eletr\u00f4nicos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Resultados semelhantes continuam a comprovar que proibir alternativas e sabores mais seguros n\u00e3o ajuda a conter o consumo entre os jovens. Ou pior, que voltam a fumar cigarros convencionais.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As proibi\u00e7\u00f5es confundem o p\u00fablico sobre o espectro de danos causados por esses produtos e muitos desconhecem os benef\u00edcios da troca.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A proibi\u00e7\u00e3o de cigarros eletr\u00f4nicos apenas protege os vendedores ilegais de impostos, regulamenta\u00e7\u00e3o e controle de qualidade.
