Na segunda-feira, 8 de novembro, a Comiss\u00e3o Especial do Parlamento Europeu para o Combate ao Cancro reuniu-se para discutir altera\u00e7\u00f5es ao projeto de relat\u00f3rio do Relator.<\/h5>\n

A Comiss\u00e3o Especial do Parlamento Europeu para o Combate ao Cancro (PORQUE<\/a>A Comiss\u00e3o Europeia de Combate ao Cancro (CEC) foi criada em setembro de 2020 e \u00e9 composta por 63 eurodeputados, sendo 33 membros titulares e 30 suplentes. O objetivo da comiss\u00e3o \u00e9 examinar as a\u00e7\u00f5es que a UE pode tomar para combater o cancro, propondo medidas em todas as fases-chave da doen\u00e7a: preven\u00e7\u00e3o, diagn\u00f3stico, tratamento, vida como sobrevivente de cancro e cuidados paliativos.<\/p>\n

Em 3 de fevereiro de 2021, a Comiss\u00e3o publicou Plano europeu para combater o c\u00e2ncer<\/a> com consultas<\/a> sobre o Roteiro vigente de 4 de fevereiro a 3 de mar\u00e7o de 2020 e sobre o Relat\u00f3rio vigente de 4 de fevereiro a 21 de maio de 2020.<\/p>\n

O relat\u00f3rio preliminar<\/a> O relat\u00f3rio "On Beating Cancer" foi finalmente publicado em 25 de junho e, para consterna\u00e7\u00e3o dos especialistas em redu\u00e7\u00e3o de danos causados pelo tabaco, n\u00e3o reconheceu o potencial do vaping na luta contra o c\u00e2ncer induzido pelo tabagismo. Na \u00e9poca, o diretor da World Vapers Association (WVA), Michael Landl, destacou que o documento representa uma melhoria em rela\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 proposta da Comiss\u00e3o Europeia, que deixa em aberto a possibilidade de proibi\u00e7\u00f5es de sabores e aumento de impostos, mas, ao ignorar o potencial dos produtos de vaping, ainda assim deixa a desejar.<\/p>\n
