De World Vapers' Alliance zegt dat ze de tekortkomingen van de Wereldgezondheidsorganisatie (WHO) op het gebied van tabaksbestrijding aan het licht heeft gebracht door haar boodschap te projecteren op de locatie van de Conferentie van Partijen (COP11). De World Vapers' Alliance stelt dat ze een duidelijke boodschap heeft afgegeven: consumenten zijn belangrijk en schadebeperking door middel van vapen en pouches moet worden erkend.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

COP11, de Conferentie van de Partijen bij het WHO-Raamverdrag inzake tabaksbestrijding, vindt plaats in Gen\u00e8ve van 17 tot en met 22 november.<\/p>\n

De World Vapers' Alliance stelt dat producten voor het verminderen van tabaksschade, zoals e-sigaretten, niet verboden zouden moeten worden.\u2019achter bureaucratische muren<\/i>".<\/p>\n

Michael Landl, directeur van de World Vapers' Alliance, zei: \u2019COP is een echokamer geworden voor achterhaald, antiwetenschappelijk beleid dat in het verleden is blijven steken. Ze zitten vast in ouderwets denken, niet geschikt voor de toekomst van tabaksbestrijding. Schadebeperking is geen marketingtruc; het is een noodzaak voor de volksgezondheid, onderbouwd door wetenschap en praktijkgegevens. En de levens van consumenten zijn belangrijker dan ideologie en de meningen van rijke WHO-donoren zoals Michael Bloomberg. Daarom moeten zij een stem krijgen in het besluitvormingsproces.<\/i>.\u201d<\/p>\n
