In plaats van nieuwe technologie\u00ebn te promoten die rokers helpen te stoppen, blijft de WHO angst en verkeerde informatie over vapen verspreiden.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>De wetenschap is duidelijk en wordt steeds sterker. De nieuwste\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cochrane.org\/news\/latest-cochrane-review-finds-high-certainty-evidence-nicotine-e-cigarettes-are-more-effective\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cochrane-review<\/a>\u2014algemeen beschouwd als de gouden standaard in gezondheidsonderzoek\u2014bevestigt dat vapen een van de meest effectieve manieren is om te stoppen met roken. Dankzij een nationale strategie die prioriteit geeft aan schadebeperking, heeft het land de rookprevalentie met 10% teruggebracht.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/europa.eu\/eurobarometer\/surveys\/detail\/2995\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">zes procentpunten<\/a>\u00a0in slechts drie jaar. Griekenland is ook het eerste EU-land dat wetenschappelijk gevalideerde gezondheidsclaims voor rookvrije producten toestaat, waardoor volwassen rokers toegang hebben tot accurate informatie over minder schadelijke opties.<\/p>\n<p>Tsjechi\u00eb biedt een ander voorbeeld van snelle vooruitgang. Tussen de meest recente Eurobarometer-enqu\u00eates registreerde het land een\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/europa.eu\/eurobarometer\/surveys\/detail\/2995\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">daling van zeven punten<\/a>\u00a0in het aantal rokers \u2013 een bewijs van het pragmatische, op wetenschap gebaseerde beleid. Door schadebeperking te integreren in de nationale verslavingsstrategie en alternatieve nicotineproducten legaal verkrijgbaar te houden, laat Tsjechi\u00eb zien dat innovatie en volksgezondheid hand in hand kunnen gaan.<\/p>\n<p>Ondanks deze duidelijke successen blijft de WHO echter aandringen op een verbod en strenge beperkingen op vapen en andere schadebeperkende producten. Dit staat niet alleen haaks op de wetenschappelijke inzichten, maar ook op de ervaringen van miljoenen ex-rokers in heel Europa.
