Deze stemmen, en hun persoonlijke verhalen over hoe vapen hen hielp te stoppen met roken en hun leven ten goede te veranderen, werden uitgezonden in het brandpunt van de Europese Unie om Europese politici aan te moedigen pro-vapingbeleid te steunen.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Rijdend door Brussel in de iconische elektrische roze Vape Bus, zegt de World Vapers&#039; Alliance (WVA) dat het vapers wereldwijd vertegenwoordigt, &quot;\u2019<em>met een indrukwekkende selectie van spannende verhalen uit heel Europa\u201d<\/em>. De verzameling verhalen van individuele ex-rokers werd verzameld als onderdeel van de\u00a0<em>Terug naar Vapen. We zijn hier vandaag bijeengekomen om ervoor te zorgen dat de stem van vapers wordt gehoord en dat de Europarlementari\u00ebrs de verhalen horen van mensen die dankzij vapen zijn gestopt met roken.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Europese beleidsmakers hebben de kans om geschiedenis te schrijven en levens te redden als ze vapen steunen als middel om roken te bestrijden. Onze boodschap aan hen is duidelijk: kies voor wetenschap en red levens.<\/em>, voegde hij toe.<\/p>\n<p>Negentien miljoen rokers in Europa zouden kunnen overstappen op vapen, een alternatief dat minder schadelijk is, als het Europees Parlement in alle toekomstige wetgeving, waaronder het Europese Kankerbestrijdingsplan, steun zou verlenen aan instrumenten ter beperking van de schade, zoals vapen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Het risico bestaat dat Europese wetgevers \u2013 onder druk van anti-vapingactivisten \u2013 wetten zullen invoeren die vapen op dezelfde manier behandelen als roken. Dit zou een ramp betekenen voor vapers, voor rokers en voor de wereldwijde volksgezondheid. De beste manier om roken te bestrijden is door vapen te promoten als onderdeel van het volksgezondheidsbeleid.<\/em>,\u201d, concludeerde Michael Landl.<\/p>\n<p>Volgens de WVA versterkt het de stem van vapers over de hele wereld en stelt het hen in staat een verschil te maken voor de gemeenschap.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Onze leden zijn 26 vapersverenigingen en meer dan 15.000 individuele vapers van over de hele wereld<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Een voorbeeld van de verhalen die het deelt, komt van Juan uit Barcelona, die zei: \u201c<em>Vier jaar geleden stopte ik met roken dankzij vapen. Dus heb ik geleidelijk mijn nicotinegehalte verlaagd en nu sta ik op het punt om er helemaal mee te stoppen.
