Het gelijkstellen van de verkoop van vapes aan die van traditionele sigaretten en het verbieden van alternatieven voor volwassenen, zoals wegwerp- en smaakvapes, zou rokers die willen stoppen echter aanzienlijk kunnen afschrikken en vapers ertoe kunnen aanzetten om weer te gaan roken. Dergelijke maatregelen zouden niet alleen de overgang naar stoppen met roken belemmeren, maar ook de illegale markt versterken, waar veiligheid niet kan worden gereguleerd.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De nieuwe Labour-regering in het Verenigd Koninkrijk heeft al aangegeven bereid te zijn strengere regels in te voeren voor de marketing en verkoop van vapes, inclusief strengere regels voor de merknaam en marketing van vapes om kinderen te beschermen. Britse artsen dringen erop aan dat vapes achter de toonbank worden verkocht om dit doel te bereiken.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hierover voegde G\u00f3mez Hern\u00e1ndez toe: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cHet Verenigd Koninkrijk is koploper in het promoten van vapen als middel om de schade door roken te beperken, wat cruciaal is geweest voor het terugdringen van het aantal rokers in het land.
