De World Vapers&#039; Alliance steunde de oproep omdat Argentini\u00eb een van de meest restrictieve landen is op het gebied van vapen in Zuid-Amerika.<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/bancos.salud.gob.ar\/sites\/default\/files\/2018-10\/0000000026cnt-disposicion-anmat-ce.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bepaling 3226\/2011<\/a> De Nationale Administratie voor Geneesmiddelen, Voedsel en Medische Technologie (ANMAT) heeft op 6 mei 2011 een verbod uitgevaardigd op de import, distributie, marketing, reclame en promotie van e-sigaretten.<\/p>\n<p>De ondertekenende verenigingen leggen uit <a href=\"https:\/\/worldvapersalliance.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/Open-letter-EN-Argentina.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in de brief<\/a> dat uit talrijke onderzoeken die zijn uitgevoerd sinds het verbod van kracht werd, is gebleken dat deze hulpmiddelen een aanzienlijk lager risicoprofiel hebben en dat ze nuttig zijn bij het stoppen met roken. Ook is het gezondheidsrisico van nicotine laag.<\/p>\n<p>Zij stellen bovendien dat het verbod onverenigbaar is met het respect voor de individuele vrijheid van Argentijnse volwassenen en de rechten op vrije ontwikkeling van de persoonlijkheid, informatie en gezondheid van gebruikers en rokers.<\/p>\n<p>Juan Facundo Teme, voorzitter van de Argentijnse vapersvereniging Asovape Argentina, merkte op: \u201c<i>Het verbod schendt de rechten en vrijheden van Argentijnse volwassenen en moet worden ingetrokken. De staat is niet degene die Argentijnen moet vertellen hoe ze nicotine moeten consumeren en moet de beslissingen van individuen respecteren die ervoor kiezen om te vapen om het op een minder schadelijke manier te consumeren. Bovendien zijn alle argumenten waarop het verbod was gebaseerd, weerlegd.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Jaarlijks worden 225.000 Argentijnen ziek en sterven er bijna 60.000 Argentijnen aan ziekten die verband houden met roken.
