{"id":5333,"date":"2024-01-05T06:18:29","date_gmt":"2024-01-05T11:18:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldvapersalliance.com\/?p=5333"},"modified":"2024-01-22T06:24:52","modified_gmt":"2024-01-22T11:24:52","slug":"the-european-parliament-has-officially-recognized-vaping-as-a-smoking-cessation-tool","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldvapersalliance.com\/nl_nl\/the-european-parliament-has-officially-recognized-vaping-as-a-smoking-cessation-tool\/","title":{"rendered":"Het Europees Parlement heeft vapen officieel erkend als een vorm van smokkelwaar."},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>In een rapport over niet-overdraagbare ziekten van de Subcommissie Volksgezondheid van de EU is de effectiviteit van vapen als hulpmiddel bij het stoppen met roken officieel erkend.<\/h4>\n<p>Het Europees Parlement heeft officieel de substanti\u00eble rol van vapen bij het stoppen met roken erkend tijdens een volledige vergadering, na de goedkeuring van de producten door de<a href=\"https:\/\/www.europarl.europa.eu\/committees\/en\/sant\/home\/highlights\"> Subcommissie Volksgezondheid van de EU<\/a> (SANT) op 7 november. Deze ontwikkeling wordt beschouwd als een belangrijke mijlpaal in de strijd tegen rokengerelateerde ziekten binnen de Europese Unie (EU), door tabaksschadevermindering (THR) te omarmen.<\/p>\n<p>Als onderdeel van het bredere initiatief van het Parlement inzake niet-overdraagbare ziekten, erkent het rapport niet alleen vapen als een <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vapingpost.com\/2023\/09\/21\/study-finds-vapes-are-the-most-effective-quit-smoking-aids-followed-by-prescription-drugs\/\">effectieve methode om te stoppen met roken<\/a> maar zal naar verwachting ook de richting van het gezondheidsbeleid in de hele EU be\u00efnvloeden. Er blijft echter een punt van discussie bestaan over de aanvankelijke aanbeveling van de SANT om vapen in bepaalde openbare ruimtes te beperken.<\/p>\n<p>Niettemin beschouwt Michael Landl, directeur van de World Vapers&#039; Alliance (WVA), de erkenning van vapes als een positieve stap voorwaarts en benadrukt hij een opmerkelijke verschuiving in de erkenning van de positieve impact van de producten op de volksgezondheid. Hij roept de Europese Commissie (EC), die nog steeds... <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vapingpost.com\/2023\/10\/19\/is-the-european-commission-playing-dirty-to-push-its-nicotine-pouches-ban-agenda\/\">fel tegen THR-strategie\u00ebn<\/a>, om aan te sluiten bij dit perspectief. Hij benadrukte dat deze goedkeuring de collectieve beslissing van het Parlement vertegenwoordigt, de directe vertegenwoordigers van de EU-burgers.<\/p>\n<p>In een gesprek met Landl over deze ontwikkeling, in een poging de betekenis ervan te peilen, vertelde hij aan Vaping Post dat hoewel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.europarl.europa.eu\/doceo\/document\/A-9-2023-0366_EN.html\">de niet-overdraagbare ziekten (NCD)<\/a> Hoewel het rapport belangrijk is, moet men er rekening mee houden dat het niet wettelijk bindend is. &quot;Ten eerste is het belangrijk om op te merken dat het NCD-rapport weliswaar een invloedrijk document is, maar geen wetgeving is en als zodanig geen directe gevolgen heeft voor de EU-wetgeving. Dit betekent dat de goedkeuring van het rapport niet automatisch leidt tot wetswijzigingen.
