Europarlementari\u00ebrs Charlie Weimers en Johan Nissinen pleitten tijdens de persconferentie in Brussel, georganiseerd door de World Vapers&#039; Alliance, voor een meer open benadering van schadebeperking binnen de EU.<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>\u201cDe Zweedse casus vormt de derde en laatste doorslaggevende pijler in het pleidooi voor schadebeperking. De wetenschap, de ervaringen van de consumenten en nu ook het Zweedse voorbeeld bewijzen dat schadebeperking werkt om een rookvrije samenleving te bereiken. We hebben nu een onweerlegbaar argument dat de EU-brede regelgeving risicogebaseerd en op bewijs gebaseerd moet zijn\u201d, aldus Michael Landl, directeur van de World Vapers&#039; Alliance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBeleid moet gebaseerd zijn op bewijs. De WHO zal Zweden binnenkort classificeren als het eerste rookvrije land van Europa vanwege het beleid ter vermindering van de schadelijke gevolgen en het wijdverbreide gebruik van snus.
