Tegelijkertijd dringen zij er bij de autoriteiten op aan om strengere beperkingen op te leggen aan traditionele sigaretten.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Vooraanstaande experts op het gebied van volksgezondheid, beleidsmakers en mediamensen kwamen zaterdag bijeen op de Bangladesh THR Summit 2023 om de rol van Tobacco Harm Reduction (THR) te bespreken bij het verwezenlijken van de visie van premier Sheikh Hasina van een &quot;rookvrij Bangladesh&quot; in 2040.<\/p>\n<p>THR is een strategie voor de volksgezondheid om de gezondheidsrisico&#039;s voor individuen en de maatschappij als geheel die samenhangen met het gebruik van conventionele tabaksproducten te verminderen of te minimaliseren, zo staat te lezen in een persbericht.<\/p>\n<p>Bovendien versterkt THR de waarde van stoppen met roken. Waar rokers niet willen of kunnen stoppen, kan het gebruik van innovatieve rookvrije technologie\u00ebn uitkomst bieden. Deze technologie\u00ebn leveren nicotine zonder de schadelijke deeltjes \u2013 rook of teer.<\/p>\n<p>Deze worden ook wel Reduced Risk Products of RRP&#039;s genoemd.
