Als gevolg van het onlangs ingevoerde verbod op e-sigaretten zijn lokale verkopers van de veiligere nicotine-alternatieven begonnen te sluiten, waardoor consumenten nergens anders terechtkunnen dan op de zwarte markt.<\/h4>\n

De gewijzigde Tabaksgevarenpreventiewet (\u83f8\u5bb3\u9632\u5236\u6cd5) werd eerder dit jaar goedgekeurd en trad op 22 maart in werking. Deze wet verbood de verkoop, productie en levering van vape-producten en verhoogde de wettelijke leeftijdsgrens voor tabak<\/a> van 18 naar 20 en het aandeel waarschuwingen over tabak op sigarettenpakjes werd verhoogd van 35% naar 50%.<\/p>\n

In reactie op het verbod zei Michael Landl, directeur van de World Vapers' Alliance, dat het verbod een ramp voor de volksgezondheid in wording is. Minder dan een maand later zijn 25 van de 44 vape-shops in Kaohsiung City al gesloten, terwijl de rest is overgestapt op de verkoop van andere producten.<\/p>\n

Naast inspecties in fysieke winkels houdt de GGD ook de online verkoop nauwlettend in de gaten. Helaas betekent dit dat duizenden mensen die... geschakeld<\/a> De consument die vaping-producten koopt, zal terugvallen op roken of de zwarte markt, waar ze toegang zullen hebben tot ongereguleerde en mogelijk onveilige producten. Dit is een patroon dat is waargenomen in landen met strenge regelgeving.<\/p>\n

Een voorbeeld hiervan is Australi\u00eb, waar de beperkingen op de verkoop van vapes vorig jaar ervoor zorgden dat vape-producten nauwelijks verkrijgbaar zijn en vaker wel dan niet via illegale kanalen worden verkregen. News.co.au had onlangs gerapporteerd<\/a> dat veel tabakswinkels in Australi\u00eb nog steeds wegwerp-vapes onder de toonbank verkopen, terwijl bezorgdiensten naar verluidt gemakkelijk bereikbaar zijn via sociale media.<\/p>\n
