Tijdens een webinar in mei vorig jaar bespraken sprekers en experts op het gebied van tabakschadebeperking het belang van een verstandige regulering van veiligere nicotinealternatieven om de aan tabak gerelateerde sterfte te minimaliseren.<\/h4>\n

Genaamd RESET: Levens redden door middel van degelijke regelgeving voor veiligere nicotinealternatieven<\/a>, Het acroniem RESET: R - Risicogebaseerde regelgeving, E - Het waarborgen van het beoogde gebruik, S - Veiligheid en kwaliteit, E - Milieuoverwegingen en T - Traceerbaarheid en fiscaal beleid, schetst de belangrijkste principes die regelgeving zou moeten omvatten.<\/p>\n

Het panel van sprekers bestond uit professor Heino St\u00f6ver, een sociaal wetenschapper die gespecialiseerd is in sociaalwetenschappelijk verslavingsonderzoek aan de Hogeschool van Frankfurt in Duitsland; Dr. Derek Yach<\/a> \u2013 een gerenommeerd adviseur op het gebied van wereldwijde volksgezondheid die zijn carri\u00e8re heeft gewijd aan het aanpakken van de rookcrisis; en dr. Delon Human, een arts en expert op het gebied van wereldwijde volksgezondheid die zich onvermoeibaar inzet voor het verminderen van de schadelijke gevolgen van tabak.<\/p>\n

Het doel van het webinar was "Pleiten voor voorkeursprincipes voor regelgeving, om het potentieel voor schadebeperking van vapenproducten te maximaliseren, misvattingen bij het publiek aan te pakken en de risico's die aan deze categorie verbonden zijn te minimaliseren."\u201c<\/p>\n

Het gebruik van veiligere nicotinealternatieven<\/h4>\n

Terwijl een ander recent webinar,<\/a> Deze keer wordt een bijeenkomst georganiseerd door de in Bangladesh gevestigde organisatie 'Voices of Vapers', waarin het bewijsmateriaal over de effectiviteit van producten voor het verminderen van tabaksgebruik, zoals e-sigaretten, wordt besproken.<\/p>\n

Tot de sprekers van laatstgenoemde behoorde de directeur van de Wereld Vapers' Alliantie<\/a>, Michael Landl, Shahriar Arifin, DGM, Marketing, Unimed Unihealth Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Rajib Joarder, Management en Beleidsvorming in de gezondheidszorg, Ministerie van Volksgezondheid en Gezinszorg, en Schumann Zaman, voorzitter van de Bangladesh Electronic Nicotine Delivery System Traders Association (BENDSTA).<\/p>\n
