Zorgprofessionals hebben over het algemeen veel vertrouwen in de FDA en gaan ervan uit dat iets dat door de FDA is goedgekeurd, een strenge reeks regels en tests heeft doorstaan.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

De laatste tijd is het grote publiek echter, ondanks de mening van gezondheidsexperts, minder onder de indruk van de besluitvorming van de FDA. Veel consumenten in de e-sigarettensector uiten hun zorgen aan winkelmedewerkers in vapeshops. Consumenten maken zich vooral zorgen over de afhandeling van de PMTA-procedure, waardoor ze doodsbang zijn dat hun recht op schadebeperking hen zal worden ontnomen, terwijl sigaretten veilig in de schappen van benzinestations, buurtwinkels en zelfs sommige supermarkten blijven liggen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Stoppen met roken is ontzettend moeilijk. Volwassen ex-rokers die nu e-sigaretten gebruiken om van hun sigaretten af te blijven, weten hoe moeilijk het was om \u00fcberhaupt een optie te vinden die voor hen werkte.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Iedereen die hetzelfde heeft meegemaakt, weet dat niet alle smaken of apparaten hetzelfde zijn. De meesten vrezen dat als ze hun favoriete methode voor risicobeperking kwijtraken, ze in de verleiding zullen komen om weer te gaan roken.<\/span><\/p>\n

De Reagan-Udall <\/span>beoordeling<\/span><\/a> Het Center for Tobacco Products maakte duidelijk dat de FDA uitleg moet geven over hoe zij bepalen wat geschikt is voor de bescherming van de volksgezondheid (APPH) en hoe zij tot die conclusie zijn gekomen, aangezien de besluitvorming tot nu toe in strijd lijkt te zijn met de huidige wetenschappelijke inzichten en gegevens over vapen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Consumenten staan tegenwoordig sceptisch tegenover de informatie die de FDA publiceert, omdat ze oprecht vinden dat een instantie die er niet om geeft of ze daardoor weer gaan roken, onmogelijk om hun gezondheid en welzijn in het algemeen kan geven.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Dit plaatst de FDA in een lastige situatie, aangezien zij de taak hebben om... <\/span>Het beschermen van de volksgezondheid door de veiligheid, werkzaamheid en betrouwbaarheid van geneesmiddelen voor mens en dier, biologische producten en medische hulpmiddelen te waarborgen; en door de veiligheid van de voedselvoorraad, cosmetica en stralingsafgevende producten van ons land te garanderen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Volwassen vapers maken zich ook zorgen dat, als ze bijvoorbeeld begonnen zijn met 24 mg nicotine en nu 6 mg gebruiken, de CTP alleen PMTA-aanvragen heeft goedgekeurd voor 25 of 50 mg, en ze niet zoveel nicotine willen gebruiken. Smaken spelen ook een rol, aangezien de meeste vapers, gemiddeld 891 ton aan omzet voor ons bedrijf alleen al, geen tabaksmaak willen of gebruiken.<\/span><\/p>\n

Het is duidelijk dat als de FDA het vertrouwen van het publiek wil terugwinnen, ze de informatie over vapen moeten verduidelijken en de aanpak van de PMTA-procedure moeten veranderen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Anders blijven ze het vertrouwen van het publiek verliezen, en dat is een zeer zorgwekkende situatie voor een instantie die de volksgezondheid zou moeten beschermen.<\/span><\/p>\n
