De aankondiging kwam ongetwijfeld als een verrassing voor velen, vooral gezien het feit dat Zweden in 2018 de status van rookvrij bereikte door het gebruik van een ander alternatief nicotineproduct te ondersteunen. Experts en groepen op het gebied van schadebeperking van natuurlijk tabak protesteerden tegen het verbod en benadrukten de gevolgen die het zou hebben voor ex-rokers.<\/p>\n<p>Michael Landl, directeur van de World Vapers&#039; Alliance (WVA), betoogde dat als de maatregel van kracht zou worden, de 150.000 ex-rokers in Zweden die momenteel vapen, gedwongen zouden kunnen worden om weer te gaan roken. &quot;Een verbod op smaken zou duizenden ex-rokers in Zweden kunnen dwingen om weer te gaan roken. Onderzoek toont aan dat vapers meer dan twee keer zo vaak stoppen met smaken. Als ze verboden worden, zouden 150.000 vapers \u2013 het equivalent van bijna de hele bevolking van Uppsala \u2013 hun smaken verliezen en weer kunnen gaan roken.
