In maart 2022 diende de Zweedse regering een wetsvoorstel in om alle vape-smaken te verbieden, behalve tabak en menthol. Als het wordt aangenomen, <\/span>voorgestelde wet<\/span><\/a> zal naar verwachting begin 2023 in werking treden.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Wij geloven dat het aannemen van de wet een rampzalige vergissing zal zijn, en de wetenschap bewijst dat. Smaken spelen een cruciale rol voor rokers die willen stoppen. Volwassen gebruikers die hebben gevaped om te stoppen met roken, geven aan dat andere smaken dan tabak een doorslaggevende factor waren om te voorkomen dat ze weer begonnen met roken. Door gearomatiseerde e-liquids te gebruiken, zijn ze... <\/span>230 procent meer kans<\/span><\/a> om te stoppen met roken dan tabaksmaken.<\/span><\/p>\n

#FlavoursMatter-demonstratie in Stockholm<\/b><\/h5>\n

In maart 2022 kwam de World Vapers' Alliance (WVA) in Stockholm bijeen om beleidsmakers op te roepen zich te verzetten tegen het verbod op vape-smaken. De WVA toonde een kunstinstallatie voor de <\/span>Rijksdag<\/span> met de simpele boodschap: \u201csmaken helpen rokers met stoppen\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Een verbod op smaken zou duizenden ex-rokers in Zweden ertoe kunnen dwingen om weer te gaan roken. Als ze verboden worden, zouden 150.000 vapers \u2013 bijna de hele bevolking van Uppsala \u2013 hun smaken verliezen en waarschijnlijk weer overgaan op gevaarlijker roken. Dit zou een grote tegenslag zijn in de strijd tegen roken en de daarmee samenhangende ziekten.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
