De Britse autoriteiten volgen het bewijs en ondersteunen een hulpmiddel dat daadwerkelijk werkt. Ze ondersteunen rokers bij de overstap naar vapen.<\/em>&quot;<\/p>\n<p>In het Verenigd Koninkrijk adviseert Public Health England, eveneens een agentschap van het Ministerie van Volksgezondheid, rokers actief om over te stappen op e-sigaretten. &quot;Dankzij deze proactieve aanpak boekt het Verenigd Koninkrijk betere resultaten bij het terugdringen van roken dan landen waar vapen aan banden is gelegd&quot;, vervolgde Landl. &quot;Het succesvolle beleid van het Verenigd Koninkrijk op het gebied van volksgezondheid en vapen zou door andere landen wereldwijd moeten worden gevolgd.&quot;.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/consumerchoicecenter.org\/from-smoking-to-vaping\/\">Onderzoek<\/a> toont aan dat met dergelijke wetten, die vapen als middel om te stoppen met roken vergemakkelijken en aanmoedigen, bijna 200 miljoen huidige rokers kunnen overstappen op vapen \u2013 een 95% minder schadelijk alternatief.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201c&quot;Het Verenigd Koninkrijk is het baken van hoop voor een verstandig volksgezondheidsbeleid in de strijd tegen roken. In plaats van hun ideologische strijd tegen vapen voort te zetten, zouden regeringen en de WHO de wetenschap moeten volgen en luisteren naar de miljoenen vapers die succesvol zijn gestopt. Gelukkig loopt het Verenigd Koninkrijk voorop.&quot;\u201d<\/em> concludeerde Michael Landl.<\/p>\n<p>Later dit jaar zal de wereldwijde COP 9-conferentie de richting bepalen voor tabaksontmoedigingsbeleid \u2013 inclusief vapen \u2013 wereldwijd.
