{"id":1350,"date":"2021-06-10T07:24:41","date_gmt":"2021-06-10T11:24:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldvapersalliance.com\/?p=1350"},"modified":"2022-05-12T06:45:07","modified_gmt":"2022-05-12T10:45:07","slug":"press-release-protest-in-netherlands-shows-importance-of-flavours","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldvapersalliance.com\/nl_nl\/press-release-protest-in-netherlands-shows-importance-of-flavours\/","title":{"rendered":"Protest in Nederland toont belang van smaken aan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>9.6.2021, Den Haag.<\/strong> Woensdagochtend gingen dampers de straat op in Den Haag, waar leden van de Gezondheidscommissie bijeenkwamen om het voorstel van de regering te bespreken om vape-smaken te verbieden.<\/p>\n<p>Buiten het Huis van Afgevaardigden deelden vapers en eigenaren van vape-shops monsters uit van walgelijk smakende ijsjes. Daarmee herinnerden ze parlementsleden en het publiek eraan dat smaken essentieel zijn voor het succes van vapen, dat er al toe heeft geleid dat honderdduizenden Nederlandse rokers zijn overgestapt van sigaretten.<\/p>\n<p>Foto&#039;s zijn te vinden <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/drive\/folders\/1Ox2UJvdMtpPcw9k_4V2Ix66_v5G20x2s?usp=sharing\">hier<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Michael Landl, directeur van de World Vapers&#039; Alliance, zei:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Toen dit voorstel ter consultatie werd voorgelegd, kreeg het een van de grootste reacties ooit: 98% respondenten waren tegen het verbod. De boodschap aan de staatssecretaris was duidelijk: vape-smaken helpen rokers te stoppen, en er is enorme weerstand tegen zijn belachelijke plan. Vapers zijn woedend dat een interim-regering na zo&#039;n luide en duidelijke boodschap blijft aandringen op dit voorgestelde verbod.<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nederland zag het grootste aantal reacties ooit verzameld in een publieke consultatie over gezondheidszaken: 98% van alle ingediende reacties waren tegen het verbod. Er zijn ongeveer 400.000 vapers in het land, waarvan de overgrote meerderheid ex-rokers zijn die vapes gebruikten om te stoppen of huidige rokers die proberen te stoppen met roken.<a href=\"https:\/\/consumerchoicecenter.org\/why-vape-flavors-matter\/\"> Onderzoek<\/a>Uit een onderzoek uit 2020 bleek dat maar liefst 260.000 Nederlandse dampers weer aan het roken zouden kunnen worden gebracht als smaken zouden worden verboden.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cEen smaakverbod voor vapen zou een ramp voor de volksgezondheid in Nederland betekenen. Het is ongelooflijk dat een demissionaire regering probeert om zo&#039;n zeer controversi\u00eble wetgeving in te voeren, die zulke negatieve gevolgen zou hebben voor zovelen, voordat er een nieuwe regering is gevormd.<\/em>\u201d, concludeerde WVA-directeur Michael Landl.<\/p>\n<p>Gezien de sterke tegenstand van burgers, via de eerdergenoemde publieke consultatie en het protest van vandaag, en gezien het gebrek aan legitimiteit van dit kabinet, is het volstrekt onethisch om dergelijke acties te ondernemen. Dit is een enorme klap voor de tabaksschadebestrijding en alle vapers die hun stem hebben laten horen, en het zal de reputatie van Nederland waarschijnlijk voor lange tijd schaden.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>9.6.2021, Den Haag.
