Onderaan deze lijst stonden Nederland, Denemarken en...\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vapingpost.com\/2018\/11\/21\/why-the-uks-smoking-rates-are-plummeting-faster-than-the-eus\/\">het Verenigd Koninkrijk<\/a>, allemaal met 16%, en tot slot Zweden, met een indrukwekkende 5%.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"block-fe95a75c-91c0-430f-9189-ff461cdbea5c\" class=\"block-editor-rich-text__editable block-editor-block-list__block wp-block wp-block-heading rich-text\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"document\" contenteditable=\"true\" aria-multiline=\"true\" aria-label=\"Blok: Kop\" data-block=\"fe95a75c-91c0-430f-9189-ff461cdbea5c\" data-type=\"core\/heading\" data-title=\"Heading\">Het succes ervan tenietdoen?<\/h2>\n<p id=\"block-f63f976f-cf02-4f9b-977e-ce95d7faa081\" class=\"block-editor-rich-text__editable block-editor-block-list__block wp-block wp-block-paragraph rich-text\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"document\" contenteditable=\"true\" aria-multiline=\"true\" aria-label=\"Alineablok\" data-block=\"f63f976f-cf02-4f9b-977e-ce95d7faa081\" data-type=\"core\/paragraph\" data-title=\"Paragraph\" data-empty=\"false\">Zweden staat erom bekend dat het deze status heeft bereikt.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vapingpost.com\/2017\/06\/28\/sweden-urged-to-own-up-to-its-successful-harm-reduction-strategy\/\">door een strategie voor schadebeperking te hanteren<\/a>\u00a0Het standpunt was een afwijzende houding. Dit deed het door het gebruik van snus als hulpmiddel bij het stoppen met roken aan te bevelen.<\/p>\n<p id=\"block-74bebc49-5203-4cf9-ac7b-9f6267904906\" class=\"block-editor-rich-text__editable block-editor-block-list__block wp-block wp-block-paragraph rich-text\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"document\" contenteditable=\"true\" aria-multiline=\"true\" aria-label=\"Alineablok\" data-block=\"74bebc49-5203-4cf9-ac7b-9f6267904906\" data-type=\"core\/paragraph\" data-title=\"Paragraph\" data-empty=\"false\">Snus is een vochtig zakje met tabakspoeder dat gedurende langere tijd onder de bovenlip wordt geplaatst. Binnen de EU is dit product alleen legaal in Zweden, waar het wordt beschouwd als een effectief middel om de schadelijke gevolgen van roken te verminderen. Het wordt echter ook veel gebruikt in Denemarken en Noorwegen. Snus heeft er niet alleen toe geleid dat Zweden de laagste rookcijfers van Europa heeft, maar vooral ook dat het land de laagste rookcijfers rapporteert.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vapingpost.com\/2022\/01\/28\/swedish-mep-criticises-eu-for-ignoring-snus-potential-to-reduce-smoking-rates\/\">laagste percentages longkanker<\/a>\u00a0over het hele continent.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"block-782785f1-acd3-407d-bbe6-32c067b8cc74\" class=\"block-editor-rich-text__editable block-editor-block-list__block wp-block wp-block-heading rich-text\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"document\" contenteditable=\"true\" aria-multiline=\"true\" aria-label=\"Blok: Kop\" data-block=\"782785f1-acd3-407d-bbe6-32c067b8cc74\" data-type=\"core\/heading\" data-title=\"Heading\">Een stap terug<\/h2>\n<p id=\"block-116a4122-88a3-405e-b83a-8cff4767f67c\" class=\"block-editor-rich-text__editable block-editor-block-list__block wp-block wp-block-paragraph rich-text\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"document\" contenteditable=\"true\" aria-multiline=\"true\" aria-label=\"Alineablok\" data-block=\"116a4122-88a3-405e-b83a-8cff4767f67c\" data-type=\"core\/paragraph\" data-title=\"Paragraph\" data-empty=\"false\">In een reactie op het geplande verbod op smaakstoffen zei Michael Landl, directeur van de World Vapers&#039; Alliance (WVA), dat als de maatregel van kracht wordt, de 150.000 voormalige rokers in Zweden die nu vapen, hierdoor getroffen zouden kunnen worden.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vapingpost.com\/2020\/04\/20\/once-again-flavours-are-preferred-by-adults-not-just-teens\/\">gedwongen worden terug te schakelen<\/a>\u00a0naar roken. &quot;Een verbod op smaakstoffen zou duizenden ex-rokers in Zweden ertoe kunnen dwingen om weer te gaan roken. Onderzoek toont aan dat vapers meer dan twee keer zo vaak stoppen met roken als ze smaakstoffen gebruiken. Als ze verboden worden, zouden 150.000 vapers \u2013 bijna de hele bevolking van Uppsala \u2013 hun smaakstoffen kwijtraken en mogelijk weer gaan roken.
