Helaas hebben we vandaag geen nieuwe updates voor u, omdat consumenten en het publiek worden buitengesloten van deze belangrijke onderhandelingen over maatregelen die ons direct zullen raken. Achter gesloten deuren vinden de gesprekken over de zogenaamde &quot;toekomstgerichte maatregelen&quot; waarschijnlijk wel plaats.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Omdat we er niet bij kunnen zijn, is het essentieel om te begrijpen wat er op tafel ligt. Hier volgt een korte samenvatting van de toekomstgerichte voorstellen met betrekking tot vapen, nicotinezakjes en verhitte tabak:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 Een verbod op alle smaakstoffen en additieven in tabaksproducten.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 Het vaststellen van zeer lage nicotinegehaltes in brandbare tabaksproducten.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 Het tabaksaanbod bevriezen door het aantal merken te beperken en het aantal productvarianten te verminderen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 Het aantal verkooppunten waar tabak en nicotineproducten verkocht mogen worden, wordt beperkt.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 Het verhogen van de wettelijke minimumleeftijd voor de verkoop van tabak.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 Nationalisering van de commerci\u00eble verkoop van tabaksproducten.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Clive Bates bekritiseert deze maatregelen scherp in zijn fantastische &quot;\u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/clivebates.com\/cop11\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">FCTC COP-11 \u2013 een overlevingsgids voor afgevaardigden<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.Hij waarschuwt dat een verbod op smaakstoffen in feite neerkomt op het verbieden of ernstig beperken van veiligere producten, aangezien smaakstoffen cruciaal zijn voor de acceptatie ervan. Lage nicotinegehaltes in sigaretten zullen rokers waarschijnlijk eerder naar illegale producten met een hoog nicotinegehalte drijven dan dat ze stoppen. Merkbevriezingen en beperkingen op productvarianten belemmeren innovatie en vertragen de overstap van rokers van brandbare tabak naar illegale producten. Beperking van de toegang tot de detailhandel verhoogt de kosten voor de gebruiker en kan consumenten naar illegale markten drijven. Het uniform verhogen van de wettelijke leeftijd voor alle nicotineproducten mist de kans om over te stappen op minder schadelijke alternatieven. En nationalisering van de tabaksverkoop dreigt markten ondergronds te drijven zonder de voordelen van veiligere nicotineproducten te erkennen. Bates betoogt dat dit bestraffende, verbodsbeleid de inspanningen om de schade te beperken ondermijnt en uiteindelijk mensen die proberen te stoppen met roken in de steek laat.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Terwijl we achter gesloten deuren de definitieve beslissingen afwachten, is de algemene trend in de verklaringen van de afgelopen twee dagen uit 104 landen niet bepaald hoopvol. De meeste landen geven nog steeds de voorkeur aan verboden en beperkingen boven wetenschap en bewijs. Maar er zijn ook lichtpuntjes: landen zoals <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/LandlMichael\/status\/1991128697173164062\/video\/1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Albani\u00eb<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/LandlMichael\/status\/1991103381683974387\/video\/1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Noord-Macedoni\u00eb<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/LandlMichael\/status\/1990727808243441773\/video\/1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Servi\u00eb<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/LandlMichael\/status\/1991075107247116376\/video\/1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gambia<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/LandlMichael\/status\/1991116618114756820\/video\/1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mozambique<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, En <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/LandlMichael\/status\/1991084354693435889\/video\/1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Saint Kitts en Nevis<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> hebben hun steun uitgesproken voor schadebeperking en op bewijs gebaseerd beleid. Met name de <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/worldvapersalliance.com\/nl_be\/pushback-forces-change-in-eu-tobacco-control-position-for-cop11\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De EU werd geblokkeerd<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> doordat sommige lidstaten deze toekomstgerichte maatregelen niet steunen, waardoor er niet over gestemd zal worden.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We blijven de situatie volgen en erover berichten. Onthoud dat echte vooruitgang voortkomt uit praktische ondersteuning, eerlijke informatie en het bieden van veiligere keuzes aan rokers, niet uit meer verboden.
