Andere aanbevelingen in het kader van de zogenaamde &#039;toekomstgerichte maatregelen&#039; blijken echter nog op weerstand te stuiten.<\/p>\n<p>Deze maatregelen zijn bedoeld om de aanpak van strengere regelgeving voor nicotineproducten uit te breiden of te intensiveren. Het gaat onder meer om beleidsmaatregelen zoals beperkingen op smaakstoffen en belastingverhogingen. Dit pakket lijkt de EU-lidstaten te verdelen, waarbij landen die zich verzetten tegen strengere regelgeving weigeren het bredere programma te onderschrijven.<\/p>\n<p>Michael Landl, directeur van de World Vapers&#039; Alliance, gaf de volgende reactie:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cSommige lidstaten weigeren toe te geven aan de \u2018toekomstgerichte maatregelen\u2019, omdat ze weten dat dit beleid de keuzevrijheid van de consument en legitieme producten nog verder zou beperken. Deze landen houden stand tegen de druk om maatregelen te nemen die niet proportioneel zijn en waarvoor geen bewijs bestaat. We prijzen hun vastberadenheid en dringen er bij hen op aan om hun standpunt te handhaven tot de deadline van vrijdag en daarna.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Nu de tijd dringt voor de WHO-bijeenkomst die maandag begint, blijft het onzeker of de EU tot overeenstemming kan komen.
