Gen\u00e8ve, 30 oktober 2025 \u2013 De World Vapers' Alliance (WVA) heeft een duidelijke boodschap afgegeven aan de COP11-conferentie: consumenten zijn belangrijk, en schadebeperking door middel van vapen en nicotine pouches moet worden erkend, niet verboden achter bureaucratische muren. Michael Landl, directeur van de WVA, zei: \u201cCOP is een echokamer geworden voor achterhaald, antiwetenschappelijk beleid dat in het verleden is blijven steken. Ze zitten vast in ouderwets denken, niet geschikt voor de toekomst van tabaksbestrijding. Schadebeperking is geen marketingtruc; het is een noodzaak voor de volksgezondheid, onderbouwd door wetenschap en praktijkgegevens. En de levens van consumenten zijn belangrijker dan ideologie en de meningen van rijke WHO-donoren zoals Michael Bloomberg.
