De organisatie meldt dat Politico verslag doet van hun standpunt tegen de huidige tabaksbestrijdingsstrategie van de EU.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>De World Vapers&#039; Alliance zegt: \u2019<i>Itali\u00eb, gesteund door Griekenland en Roemeni\u00eb, neemt een standpunt in tegen de huidige tabaksbestrijdingsstrategie van de EU, zo meldt Politico. Terwijl een coalitie van landen onder leiding van Nederland aandringt op snelle herzieningen van de EU-tabakswetgeving, pleit Itali\u00eb voor een evenwichtige aanpak met gedegen effectbeoordelingen en proportionele maatregelen. Dit komt op een cruciaal moment, nu de huidige EU-strategie ineffectief blijkt te zijn \u2013 in het huidige tempo zal de EU haar doelstelling van een rookvrij land maar liefst 60 jaar missen.<\/i>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Michael Landl, directeur van de World Vapers&#039; Alliance, verklaarde: \u2019<i>De demonisering van nicotinealternatieven zoals vapen door de EU is niet alleen misplaatst, maar ook contraproductief. Het voortrekkerswerk van Itali\u00eb in het pleiten voor op bewijs gebaseerde regelgeving is precies wat Europa nodig heeft om het tij te keren.
