Dit misplaatste beleid, ingegeven door een tragisch incident met een illegale THC-vape, zal het werkelijke probleem alleen maar verergeren: de ongereguleerde zwarte markt voor gevaarlijke producten.<\/p>\n<p>Bulgarije heeft met 371 rokers per 4000 inwoners al het hoogste rookpercentage in de EU, 501 rokers per 4000 inwoners meer dan het EU-gemiddelde. Ondanks deze alarmerende statistiek hebben wetgevers ervoor gekozen een bewezen middel voor schadebeperking, dat rokers helpt te stoppen, af te schaffen. In plaats van de grondoorzaak aan te pakken \u2013 illegale en ongereguleerde producten \u2013 heeft de regering gekozen voor een beleid dat volwassen vapers terugdrijft naar roken of in de handen van dealers op de zwarte markt drijft.<\/p>\n<p>Michael Landl, directeur van de World Vapers&#039; Alliance, verklaarde:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201c<\/em><strong><em>Dit verbod is niet alleen irrationeel, het is ook gevaarlijk. Het verbieden van gereguleerde e-sigaretten lost het probleem van illegale e-sigaretten niet op, maar maakt het juist erger. <\/em><\/strong><em>De tragische dood van een tiener in Pleven werd veroorzaakt door een illegale THC-vape, niet door legale nicotineproducten. <\/em><strong><em>Door legale alternatieven te verbieden, zet Bulgarije de deur open voor een overvloed aan onveilige producten op de markt.<\/em><\/strong><em>\u201d<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p>E-sigaretten zijn niet de vijand \u2013 ze zijn voor velen van ons het meest effectieve middel gebleken om te stoppen met roken. Slechts 31 op de 4000 Bulgaren gebruikt momenteel e-sigaretten, maar toch zijn ze in ons land al de populairste methode om te stoppen met roken. Landen als Zweden, Nieuw-Zeeland en het Verenigd Koninkrijk, die een beleid voeren gericht op schadebeperking, zijn op weg om de doelstelling van rookvrij land te bereiken (&lt;51 op de 4000 rokers).
