De Wereldalliantie van Vapers<\/a> (WVA) heeft gepubliceerd resultaten<\/a> van een enqu\u00eate uitgevoerd door een onafhankelijke opiniepeiler Dynata.<\/a> Het onderzoek bevestigt het belang van vapen als middel om de schadelijke gevolgen van drugsgebruik te beperken en legt uit hoe een verbod op smaakstoffen de effectiviteit ervan zou kunnen ondermijnen.<\/p>\n

Belangrijkste bevindingen
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2013 92,11 TP4T van de Spaanse vapers waren rokers voordat ze overstapten op vapen.<\/p>\n

\u2013 87% van de vapers gelooft dat smaken hen helpen om tabak te vermijden of minder te roken.<\/p>\n

\u2013 92% van de vapers gebruiken andere smaken dan tabak.<\/p>\n

Vapen als middel om de schade te beperken<\/strong><\/p>\n

Het onderzoek, uitgevoerd door het onafhankelijke opiniepeilingsbureau Dynata, ondervroeg 585 Spaanse vapers en wees uit dat:<\/p>\n

\u2013 50.4% begon met vapen om minder te roken<\/p>\n

\u2013 23.9% begon met vapen om helemaal te stoppen met roken.<\/p>\n

\u2013 39.8% noemde het gebruik van nicotine op een minder schadelijke manier als motivatie<\/p>\n

Effectiviteit van smaken
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2013 67% van de voormalige rokers zeggen dat smaken hebben geholpen bij het verminderen van het sigarettengebruik.<\/p>\n

\u2013 De smaak van de 14%-staat was cruciaal om volledig te stoppen met roken.<\/p>\n

Mogelijke gevolgen van een verbod op smaakstoffen
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Als smaakstoffen verboden zouden worden:<\/p>\n

\u2013 3 van de 4 respondenten zeggen dat het hun vermogen om van tabak af te blijven zou be\u00efnvloeden.<\/p>\n

\u2013 De helft zou ofwel weer gaan roken, ofwel op de zwarte markt naar gearomatiseerde producten zoeken of deze importeren.<\/p>\n

Alberto Gomez Hernandez, beleidsmanager van WVA, merkte op:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201c"Uit onderzoek blijkt dat vapen rokers helpt om minder te roken of helemaal te stoppen."<\/em>g, iets wat andere methoden niet met dezelfde impact hebben bereikt. I<\/em>In plaats van de toegang te beperken, zouden autoriteiten het vapen moeten promoten als onderdeel van een volksgezondheidsstrategie gebaseerd op het beperken van de schade.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Smaken zijn een cruciaal hulpmiddel voor volwassen rokers die willen stoppen.<\/em><\/strong>. Het weglaten van smaakstoffen zou het voor duizenden Spaanse vapers moeilijker maken om van sigaretten af te blijven en voor miljoenen rokers om in de toekomst te stoppen.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Ondanks dit bewijs is het ministerie van Volksgezondheid van plan om smaakstoffen in e-sigaretvloeistoffen te verbieden. De WVA dringt er bij de overheid op aan om beleid te voeren dat gebaseerd is op schadebeperking en wetenschappelijk bewijs, in plaats van restrictieve maatregelen die de volksgezondheid in gevaar kunnen brengen.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
