Liam Humberstone, technisch directeur bij Helemaal geweldig<\/a> Een Britse nationale expert op het gebied van e-sigaretten heeft zijn bezorgdheid geuit over de aankondiging van de overheid dat wegwerp-vapes per 1 juni 2025 verboden zullen worden.<\/h4>\n

\u201c"De bevestiging dat het verbod vanaf juni volgend jaar ingaat, baart velen in de vapenindustrie zorgen, aangezien wegwerp-e-sigaretten met name al jaren een belangrijke instapmogelijkheid zijn voor veel rokers die op zoek zijn naar een gebruiksvriendelijk en effectief alternatief voor sigaretten," zei hij.\u00a0<\/span> \u201cOHID (voorheen Public Health England) heeft consequent gerapporteerd dat vapen aanzienlijk minder schadelijk is dan roken, en wegwerp-e-sigaretten hebben bijgedragen aan dit positieve resultaat voor de volksgezondheid. Desondanks erkennen we ook de groeiende bezorgdheid over het gebruik van wegwerp-e-sigaretten door minderjarigen, evenals de milieuproblemen die verbonden zijn aan producten voor eenmalig gebruik. We zijn er sterk van overtuigd dat goede regelgeving, handhaving en voorlichting essentieel zijn om deze zorgen aan te pakken en jongeren te beschermen tegen producten die niet voor hen bedoeld zijn. Hoewel we de redenen achter het verbod begrijpen, is het cruciaal om ervoor te zorgen dat volwassen rokers toegang blijven houden tot veiligere alternatieven voor sigaretten. Dit verbod zal een deel van de rokers en veel recent gestopte rokers treffen, die afhankelijk zijn van het gemak van wegwerp-e-sigaretten. Het is essentieel dat de industrie en toezichthouders ervoor zorgen dat volwassen gebruikers toegang hebben tot andere vape-opties die hun pogingen om te stoppen met roken kunnen ondersteunen. De focus moet nu liggen op het voorlichten van rokers over herbruikbare en duurzamere vape-opties, die even effectief en milieuvriendelijker zijn.<\/p>\n
