En terwijl ze volhoudt dat ze roken en aanverwante ziekten wil uitroeien, is ze van plan een van de belangrijkste producten die hiervoor een gunstig effect hebben, verder aan banden te leggen.<\/h4>\n<div>De Europese Commissie (EC) is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.europarl.europa.eu\/legislative-train\/theme-promoting-our-european-way-of-life\/file-council-recommendation-on-smoke-free-environments#:~:text=Another%20instrument%20is%20the%20update%20of%20the%20Council,environments%2C%20including%20outdoor%20spaces%20%28e.g.%20schools%20and%20playgrounds%29.\">aanbevelen<\/a> Het uitbreiden van rookverboden naar extra buitenruimtes zoals kinderspeelplaatsen, buitenzwembaden, pretparken en terrassen. Helaas omvat dit verbod ook vapen, waarbij het voorstel de huidige regelgeving uit 2009, die voornamelijk gericht was op traditionele tabaksproducten, wil actualiseren. De Europese Commissie stelt dat deze maatregel cruciaal is voor de bescherming van omstanders tegen passief roken door verhitte tabaksproducten en e-sigaretten op werkplekken, in openbare ruimten en het openbaar vervoer, evenals in aangewezen recreatiegebieden in de buitenlucht waar kinderen aanwezig zijn.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>De herziene regels zijn ook bedoeld om verdere beperkingen op te leggen aan e-sigaretten, zowel nicotinehoudende als nicotinevrije, met als doel de aantrekkingskracht en het gebruik ervan onder jongeren te verminderen. Hoewel de aanbevelingen niet bindend zijn, aangezien het gezondheidsbeleid van de EU de verantwoordelijkheid is van de individuele landen, benadrukken ze de nadruk van de Europese Commissie op de bestrijding van roken in een <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vapingpost.com\/2023\/10\/19\/is-the-european-commission-playing-dirty-to-push-its-nicotine-pouches-ban-agenda\/\">niet-productieve manier<\/a>.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>De <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vapingpost.com\/2022\/06\/14\/the-european-parliaments-special-committee-on-beating-cancer-draft-report\/\">Europees plan om kanker te bestrijden<\/a> streeft naar een &quot;tabaksvrije generatie&quot; in 2040, met als doel minder dan 51 TP4T van de bevolking tabak te laten gebruiken, terwijl momenteel 261 TP4T van de EU-ingwoners en 291 TP4T van de 15- tot 24-jarigen tabak gebruiken.
