{"id":5804,"date":"2024-10-08T05:48:57","date_gmt":"2024-10-08T09:48:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldvapersalliance.com\/?p=5804"},"modified":"2024-10-08T05:48:57","modified_gmt":"2024-10-08T09:48:57","slug":"polands-tax-hike-on-vaping-a-setback-for-harm-reduction-efforts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldvapersalliance.com\/nl_be\/polands-tax-hike-on-vaping-a-setback-for-harm-reduction-efforts\/","title":{"rendered":"De Poolse belastingverhoging op e-sigaretten: een tegenslag voor inspanningen om de schadelijke gevolgen van het gebruik ervan te beperken."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Warschau, 04.10.2024 \u2014 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De World Vapers&#039; Alliance (WVA) is fel gekant tegen het besluit van de Poolse regering om <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.pl\/web\/finanse\/rzad-przyjal-projekt-ustawy-zmieniajacy-akcyze-na-wyroby-tytoniowe-nowatorskie-oraz-plyn-do-papierosow-elektronicznych\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">salarisverhoging<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Accijnzen op verhitte tabaksproducten en e-vloeistoffen voor e-sigaretten, bedoeld om prijsverschillen tussen tabaksproducten en hun alternatieven te verkleinen en zo het verbruik ervan te beperken.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Volgens de nieuwe regels zullen e-vloeistoffen, net als verhitte tabaksproducten, aanzienlijk zwaarder belast worden. Het verhogen van de belastingen op vapenproducten leidt echter vaak tot onbedoelde gevolgen. Talrijke studies hebben aangetoond dat wanneer de prijs van e-vloeistoffen stijgt, veel gebruikers overstappen op andere producten., <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/doi\/full\/10.1111\/add.16002\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">vooral jonge volwassenen<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, schakel terug naar traditionele sigaretten. Dit <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/36103752\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">kruisprijseffect<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Dit ondermijnt de inspanningen op het gebied van de volksgezondheid door het aantal rokers te verhogen in plaats van te verlagen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Michael Landl, directeur van de World Vapers&#039; Alliance, benadrukte: &quot;Belastingheffing moet in verhouding staan tot de risico&#039;s van producten. Vapen is 95% minder schadelijk dan roken, maar deze belasting behandelt het op dezelfde manier, wat de volksgezondheid ondermijnt.&quot;. <\/span><b>Rokers zouden gestimuleerd moeten worden om over te stappen, in plaats van teruggedrongen te worden naar sigaretten vanwege hogere prijzen.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Onderzoek toont ook aan dat hogere belastingen op minder schadelijke nicotineproducten rokers ervan weerhouden over te stappen, een probleem dat vooral lage- en middeninkomensgroepen treft. Wat gebruikers betreft, wanneer ze geconfronteerd worden met hogere kosten voor e-sigaretten, zullen velen <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/scholars.uky.edu\/en\/publications\/intended-and-unintended-effects-of-e-cigarette-taxes-on-youth-tob\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">overstappen op roken<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, waardoor de positieve gezondheidsresultaten die werden waargenomen in landen met een focus op schadebeperking, zoals het Verenigd Koninkrijk en Zweden, teniet worden gedaan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alberto G\u00f3mez Hern\u00e1ndez, beleidsmanager bij de World Vapers&#039; Alliance, voegde hieraan toe: \u2019<\/span><b>Het verhogen van de belastingen op minder schadelijke alternatieven is contraproductief.
