Nu het land bijna rookvrij is, waarschuwt de consumentenorganisatie dat dit verbod de vooruitgang die is geboekt bij het terugdringen van het aantal rokers teniet kan doen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Het Nieuw-Zeelandse ministerie van Volksgezondheid kondigde aan dat het verbod werd ingevoerd met de bedoeling het vapen onder jongeren terug te dringen \u2013 dezelfde gebrekkige redenering die ten grondslag lag aan de oude Britse wet op tabak en e-sigaretten. De nieuwe regelgeving verbiedt de productie en verkoop van alle niet-oplaadbare en niet-navulbare e-sigaretten, inclusief wegwerpverpakkingen zoals voorgevulde tanks, pods en cartridges.<\/p>\n<p>De World Vapers&#039; Alliance heeft gewaarschuwd dat deze beslissing schadelijke gevolgen kan hebben voor de volksgezondheid en mogelijk de vooruitgang die Nieuw-Zeeland heeft geboekt bij het terugdringen van traditioneel roken teniet kan doen.<\/p>\n<p>Alberto G\u00f3mez Hern\u00e1ndez, beleidsmanager bij de World Vapers&#039; Alliance, gaf de volgende reactie:\u00a0<i>\u201cHet is essentieel om te voorkomen dat tieners nicotineproducten gebruiken, en strikte leeftijdsgrenzen moeten worden ingevoerd om dit doel te bereiken. Het verbieden van wegwerp-e-sigaretten en diverse podsystemen voor volwassenen zal echter negatieve gevolgen hebben voor de volksgezondheid en de vooruitgang die de afgelopen tien jaar is geboekt richting een rookvrije samenleving in gevaar brengen.
