Bij de huidige trend zal het rookpercentage pas in 2100 onder de 51 TP4T zakken \u2013 60 jaar na de streefdatum van 2040.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><em><strong>\u201c&quot;Door zich koppig te richten op producten die de schade beperken in plaats van op het werkelijke probleem, faalt de EU niet alleen, maar saboteert ze actief de inspanningen op het gebied van de volksgezondheid.&quot;\u201d<\/strong><\/em> aldus Michael Landl, directeur van de World Vapers Alliance. <em><strong>\u201cDeze rampzalige aanpak moet nu stoppen. In plaats van producten zoals e-sigaretten of nicotinezakjes te bestrijden, moeten ze een hoeksteen vormen van toekomstige strategie\u00ebn voor de volksgezondheid. Anders is de strijd tegen roken verloren.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Belangrijkste bevindingen van de Eurobarometer 2024:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Verhitte tabaksproducten: Gebruikt door 2% van de Europeanen.<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Vapen: 3% van de Europeanen zijn vapers.<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Nicotinezakjes: Uitgeprobeerd door 4% van de Europeanen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">De focus van de EU op deze producten is misplaatst. Met een gemiddeld rookpercentage van 241 per 4000 rokers in de EU zou de prioriteit moeten liggen bij het helpen van rokers om over te stappen op minder schadelijke alternatieven.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Het succes van Zweden:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\"><strong>Het percentage rokers in Zweden ligt drie keer lager dan het EU-gemiddelde. <\/strong>(terwijl 26% mensen snus gebruiken en 20% nicotine pouches hebben geprobeerd)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Aanvullende inzichten:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Dampvloeistoffen, verhitte tabaksproducten en nicotinezakjes zijn <strong>over het algemeen niet aantrekkelijk voor niet-gebruikers.<\/strong> maar ze zijn essenti\u00eble hulpmiddelen voor rokers die willen stoppen of hun sigarettenconsumptie willen verminderen.<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\"><strong>Vapen is 2,5 keer effectiever.<\/strong> voor stoppen met roken in vergelijking met traditionele nicotinevervangende therapie (NRT).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Het rapport geeft duidelijk aan dat de huidige strategie van de EU faalt.
