Afgelopen maart kondigde Nieuw-Zeeland een verbod aan op de verkoop van wegwerp-e-sigaretten en verhoogde terecht de boetes voor winkeliers die deze producten aan minderjarigen verkopen. Ook Australi\u00eb heeft besloten de toename van vapen onder jongeren tegen te gaan door een importverbod op wegwerp-e-sigaretten aan te kondigen, dat ingaat op 1 januari 2024.<\/p>\n<p>In Europa deed de Britse premier Rishi Sunak iets soortgelijks.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vapingpost.com\/2023\/09\/18\/the-uks-ban-on-disposable-vapes-could-undo-a-lot-of-the-progress-it-has-achieved\/\">kondigde een verbod aan<\/a> In januari vorig jaar werd een verbod ingesteld op wegwerp-e-sigaretten, terwijl Franse wetgevers in maart een akkoord bereikten dat de apparaten tegen eind 2024 zou verbieden. Beide landen noemden de toegenomen gebruiksfrequentie onder minderjarigen als reden voor de maatregelen.<\/p>\n<p>De World Vapers&#039; Alliance (WVA) heeft onlangs de Franse beleidsmakers opgeroepen om het onlangs goedgekeurde plan te heroverwegen. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vapingpost.com\/2024\/03\/30\/an-epidemic-of-disposable-vapes-bans-is-spreading-across-the-globe\/\">verbod op wegwerp-vapes<\/a>. Net als talloze experts op het gebied van tabakschadebeperking betoogde WVA-directeur Michael Landl dat een verbod ineffectief en contraproductief is voor de volksgezondheid.
