{"id":5470,"date":"2024-03-27T04:52:14","date_gmt":"2024-03-27T08:52:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldvapersalliance.com\/?p=5470"},"modified":"2024-04-01T04:53:06","modified_gmt":"2024-04-01T08:53:06","slug":"wva-condemns-rishi-sunak","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldvapersalliance.com\/nl_be\/wva-condemns-rishi-sunak\/","title":{"rendered":"WVA veroordeelt Rishi Sunak"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Premier Rishi Sunak rechtvaardigde de nieuwe wetgeving met de volgende woorden:\u201c<i>Als we een betere toekomst voor onze kinderen willen opbouwen, moeten we de grootste, volledig vermijdbare oorzaak van ziekte, invaliditeit en overlijden aanpakken: roken.<\/i>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Het probleem met de wet inzake tabak en e-sigaretten is dat deze niet alleen roken aanpakt, maar ook de toegang tot e-sigaretten wil beperken en de overheid de bevoegdheid geeft om ze minder aantrekkelijk te maken voor volwassen rokers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<i>Wij zijn een libertaire partij.<\/i>,&quot; zei het conservatieve parlementslid Greg Smith tegen journalisten.\u201d<i>Of velen van ons roken, en dit is geen erg liberale maatregel. Ik verwacht dat er flink wat tegenstand zal komen. Er zouden wel eens 80 Conservatieve parlementsleden tegen dit voorstel kunnen zijn. Ik rook zelf niet en heb dat ook nooit gedaan, maar ik begrijp wel dat het hier gaat om volwassenen te vertellen wat ze wel en niet mogen doen. Het zal ook extra druk leggen op kleine bedrijven, die al te maken hebben met aanzienlijk hogere overheadkosten.<\/i>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Een aantal prominente conservatieven heeft zich al uitgesproken tegen het wetsvoorstel, waaronder oud-premier en economisch genie Liz Truss.<\/p>\n<p>Michael Landl, directeur van de World Vapers&#039; Alliance, gaf de volgende reactie: \u2019<i>De recente koerswijziging van het Verenigd Koninkrijk met betrekking tot smaken in e-sigaretten is niet alleen misplaatst, maar ook gevaarlijk losgezongen van de wetenschappelijke realiteit. Door beperkingen op smaken door te voeren, negeert de regering-Sunak schaamteloos een schat aan wetenschappelijk bewijs dat de voordelen van vapen ten opzichte van alternatieven onderstreept. Het is bewezen dat e-sigaretten met smaakjes de kans op succesvol stoppen met roken met 230% vergroten in vergelijking met e-sigaretten zonder smaakjes.
