De World Vapers&#039; Alliance steunde deze oproep, omdat Argentini\u00eb een van de meest restrictieve landen op het gebied van vapen in Zuid-Amerika is.<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/bancos.salud.gob.ar\/sites\/default\/files\/2018-10\/0000000026cnt-disposicion-anmat-ce.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bepaling 3226\/2011<\/a> De Nationale Administratie voor Geneesmiddelen, Voedsel en Medische Technologie (ANMAT) verbood op 6 mei 2011 de import, distributie, marketing, reclame en promotie van e-sigaretten.<\/p>\n<p>De ondertekenende verenigingen leggen uit <a href=\"https:\/\/worldvapersalliance.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/Open-letter-EN-Argentina.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in de brief<\/a> Uit talrijke onderzoeken die sinds de invoering van het verbod zijn uitgevoerd, is gebleken dat deze apparaten een aanzienlijk lager risicoprofiel hebben en nuttig zijn bij het stoppen met roken, evenals een laag gezondheidsrisico van nicotine.<\/p>\n<p>Ze stellen ook dat het verbod onverenigbaar is met respect voor de individuele vrijheid van Argentijnse volwassenen en het recht op vrije persoonlijkheidsontwikkeling, informatie en gezondheid van gebruikers en rokers.<\/p>\n<p>Juan Facundo Teme, voorzitter van de Argentijnse vereniging voor vapers Asovape Argentina, gaf de volgende reactie: \u2019<i>Het verbod schendt de rechten en vrijheden van Argentijnse volwassenen en moet worden ingetrokken. De staat heeft niet het recht om Argentijnen voor te schrijven hoe ze nicotine moeten consumeren en moet de beslissingen respecteren van individuen die ervoor kiezen om te vapen om het op een minder schadelijke manier te consumeren. Bovendien zijn alle argumenten waarop het verbod was gebaseerd, weerlegd.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Elk jaar worden 225.000 Argentijnen ziek en sterven er bijna 60.000 aan aandoeningen die verband houden met roken.
