De accijns op nicotinehoudende e-vloeistoffen wordt verhoogd met 4% tot \u20ac 0,351\/ml, terwijl nicotinevrije e-vloeistoffen onderworpen worden aan een accijns van \u20ac 0,175\/ml. De goedkeuring zal een negatieve impact hebben op de inspanningen van Portugal om roken terug te dringen, doordat het vapen als alternatief wordt ontmoedigd.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Alberto G\u00f3mez Hern\u00e1ndez, communitymanager van de World Vapers&#039; Alliance, gaf de volgende reactie:<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><em>\u201c&quot;Het verhogen van de belasting op e-vloeistoffen op deze manier zal vapen minder aantrekkelijk maken als manier om nicotine te consumeren en zal de toegang tot deze producten voor lage- en middeninkomensgroepen belemmeren. Het riskeert vapers terug te drijven naar roken en rokers ervan te weerhouden over te stappen vanwege de kosten. Portugal zou het voorbeeld moeten volgen van landen die erin slagen het aantal rokers terug te dringen door rokers aan te moedigen over te stappen, zoals het Verenigd Koninkrijk en Zweden.
