Hoewel lokale regelgeving al geen onderscheid maakt tussen sigaretten en veiligere alternatieven, wordt Hongarije nu gewaarschuwd dat het voorgestelde decreet over nicotinezakjes en e-sigaretten te ver gaat.<\/h4>\n

In Hongarije<\/a>, Reclame voor e-sigaretten is verboden en vapen is alleen toegestaan in ruimtes waar ook roken is toegestaan, waardoor er geen onderscheid wordt gemaakt tussen het gebruik van sigaretten en de veiligere alternatieven. Bovendien kunnen vapeproducten alleen worden gekocht bij bepaalde erkende winkels, die naar verluidt eigendom zijn van mensen die politiek verbonden zijn met de regeringspartij.<\/p>\n

Ondertussen is er een nieuw ontwerp. Decreet<\/a> Het wetsvoorstel beoogt de huidige regelgeving met betrekking tot "sigaretten, rooktabak, waterpijptabak, verhitte tabaksproducten, kruidenproducten om te roken, elektronische sigaretten, navulverpakkingen, elektronische apparaten die roken imiteren, nicotinevrije navulverpakkingen en nicotinehoudende rookvervangers" te wijzigen. Naar verwachting zullen de definities op verpakkingen, de nicotinegehaltes en de etiketteringsvoorschriften worden aangepast en zullen er strenge beperkingen worden opgelegd aan vapenproducten.<\/p>\n

Met betrekking tot nicotinezakjes<\/a>, Het amendement stelt een maximaal nicotinegehalte van 17 mg per consumptie-eenheid voor. Deze hoeveelheid is mogelijk niet voldoende voor zware rokers die willen stoppen, omdat zij gewend zijn aan het inhaleren van hogere nicotineconcentraties. Dit zou daardoor onbedoeld de aantrekkingskracht van de producten als hulpmiddel bij het stoppen met roken kunnen beperken.<\/p>\n

De Wereldalliantie van Vapers<\/a> (WVA) waarschuwt voor deze strenge maatregelen. De groep legt uit dat de voorgestelde regelgeving, indien aangenomen, de mogelijkheden voor tabakschadebeperking (THR) zou beperken en de toegang tot veiligere alternatieven voor rokers zou belemmeren.<\/p>\n
