In 2023 was dit percentage verder gedaald, wat vijf leden van het Europees Parlement ertoe aanzette de succesvolle strategie te bespreken ter gelegenheid van Wereld Anti-Tabaksdag.<\/h4>\n<p>Een recent<a href=\"https:\/\/smokefreesweden.org\/wp-content\/themes\/smokefreesweden\/assets\/pdf\/Report%20The%20Swedish%20Experience%20ENG.pdf\"> rapport<\/a> Het rapport benadrukte dat het rookpercentage in Zweden de komende maanden onder de 51 per 4000 rokers zal dalen en beschreef de aanpak die tot dit succes heeft geleid. Anders Milton, een van de auteurs van het rapport, benadrukte dat als andere EU-landen de Zweedse strategie zouden overnemen, de situatie in Europa er heel anders uit zou zien.<\/p>\n<p>In feite bij het evenement van <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vapingpost.com\/2022\/06\/07\/a-two-day-livestream-broadcast-held-for-world-vape-and-world-no-tobacco-days\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wereld Anti-Tabaksdag<\/a> Op 31 mei bespraken de Europarlementari\u00ebrs Sara Skyttedal, Johan Nissinen, Tomislav Sokol, dr. Christopher Russel en Federico N. Fern\u00e1ndez, samen met een groep onderzoekers van het wereldwijde netwerk We Are Innovation, de succesvolle strategie die Zweden hanteert. Deze strategie heeft er uiteraard toe geleid dat het land het gewenste nationale rookpercentage heeft bereikt, ruim voor op de andere EU-landen.<\/p>\n<p>Ondertussen heeft de EU zich ten doel gesteld dit percentage in 2040 te bereiken, maar neigt ze ernaar strategie\u00ebn te steunen die volgens experts contraproductief zullen zijn om dit te bereiken. Sterker nog, het gemiddelde rookpercentage in de unie blijft rond de 231 TP4T.
