Staatssecretaris van Binnenlandse Zaken Benec R\u00e9tv\u00e1ri bevestigt dat Hongarije vapen gelijk zal blijven behandelen als roken en het verbod op smaakstoffen in e-sigaretten niet zal opheffen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Michael Landl, directeur van de World Vapers&#039; Alliance, zei:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cHet is schokkend dat de Hongaarse regering nog steeds achterhaalde en ontkrachte mythes over vapen verspreidt. R\u00e9tv\u00e1ri negeert systematisch wetenschappelijk bewijs voor de voordelen van vapen, om nog maar te zwijgen van de ervaringen van miljoenen vapers. Vapen is <\/span><\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/e-cigarettes-around-95-less-harmful-than-tobacco-estimates-landmark-review\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">95% minder schadelijk<\/span><\/i><\/a><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> dan roken en een <\/span><\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.qmul.ac.uk\/media\/news\/2019\/smd\/e-cigarettes-more-effective-than-nicotine-replacement-therapies-finds-major-uk-clinical-trial.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">een effectievere methode om te stoppen met roken<\/span><\/i><\/a><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> dan traditionele therapie\u00ebn zoals kauwgom en nicotinepleisters. De Hongaarse aanpak van vapen zal alleen maar levens kosten.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De verklaring is een <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.parlament.hu\/irom42\/03572\/03572-0001.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">schriftelijk antwoord<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in antwoord op een vraag van parlementslid Laszl\u00f3 Luk\u00e1cs over de toekomstige aanpak van vapen door de Hongaarse regering.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bovendien weigert de regering het succes te erkennen van andere landen die een aanpak gericht op schadebeperking volgen. Als ze dat wel zouden doen, zou duidelijk worden dat de huidige aanpak verkeerd is. Het Verenigd Koninkrijk en Zweden kennen recordlage rookcijfers en minder door roken veroorzaakte ziekten dan Hongarije, omdat ze rokers aanmoedigen om over te stappen op roken door middel van slimme regelgeving. Tegelijkertijd blijft de Hongaarse regering vasthouden aan haar falende verbodsbeleid.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De verklaring laat zien dat Hongarije van plan is de wetenschap te blijven negeren en misinformatie over vapen te verspreiden. Dit is geen goed teken voor de volksgezondheid. Vapen is niet hetzelfde als roken en moet anders worden behandeld.
