De World Vapers&#039; Alliance &quot;vierde&quot; de resultaten.<\/h4>\n<p>Leden van het Europees Parlement zijn zich minder bewust van belangrijke kwesties rondom nieuwe nicotineproducten dan in voorgaande jaren, ondanks dat hen de komende maanden wordt gevraagd te stemmen over belangrijke nieuwe wetgeving over dit onderwerp, zo blijkt uit een nieuwe enqu\u00eate.<\/p>\n<p>Maar uit het derde jaarlijkse onderzoek van business intelligence-onderzoeker Tamarind Intelligence, uitgever van toonaangevende inlichtingenplatforms zoals ECigIntelligence en TobaccoIntelligence, blijkt dat hoe meer Europarlementari\u00ebrs weten over nieuwe nicotineproducten (e-sigaretten, nicotinezakjes en verhitte tabak), hoe groter de kans is dat ze deze producten als minder schadelijk beschouwen dan sigaretten.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tobaccointelligence.com\/opinions-on-new-nicotine-products-among-members-of-the-european-parliament-a-survey\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Een samenvatting van de standpunten<\/b><\/a> van leden van het Europees Parlement over vapen, verhitte tabaksproducten en nicotinezakjes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><i>Slechts een klein aantal Europarlementari\u00ebrs vindt dat nieuwe nicotineproducten wettelijk strenger gereguleerd zouden moeten worden dan traditionele tabak, en de meerderheid is van mening dat online verkoop aan volwassenen toegestaan zou moeten worden (met leeftijdsverificatie). Maar een groeiend aantal is hierover nog steeds onzeker.<\/i><\/li>\n<li><i>Het lijkt er inderdaad op dat Europarlementari\u00ebrs over het algemeen minder geneigd zijn dan in voorgaande jaren om een uitgesproken mening te geven voor of tegen nieuwe nicotineproducten. Zo geven Europarlementari\u00ebrs die geen kennis hebben van nieuwe nicotineproducten steeds vaker toe dat ze de risico&#039;s niet kennen.<\/i><\/li>\n<li><i>Deze trend naar meer onzekerheid suggereert dat Europarlementari\u00ebrs ofwel minder vertrouwen hebben in hun kennisniveau over het onderwerp, ofwel erkennen dat het steeds controversi\u00ebler en gepolitiseerder wordt.<\/i><\/li>\n<li><i>Een nipte meerderheid van de Europarlementari\u00ebrs beschouwt nieuwe nicotineproducten als minder schadelijk dan roken, en slechts een kleine minderheid (19%) acht ze even schadelijk als roken. Maar ook hier geldt dat velen er niet zeker van zijn.<\/i><\/li>\n<li><i>De mate van kennis die Europarlementari\u00ebrs over deze producten hebben, lijkt een factor te zijn in hun mening erover.
