De WVA-vapetour is nu in Praag aangekomen, waar politici worden aangemoedigd om vapen te steunen in het kader van tabakschadebeperking.<\/p>\n

Eerst gelanceerd in de zomer van 2021<\/a> Toen onthulde de WVA een nieuwe graffitimuur buiten het Europees Parlement met een duidelijke boodschap: "In Europa zouden 19 miljoen levens gered kunnen worden door vapen te promoten."\u201c<\/p>\n

De WVA trapte de campagne dit keer af in Straatsburg, waar vertegenwoordigers van de WVA verschillende leden van het Europees Parlement ontmoetten om hun "\u201cRichtlijn betreffende dampwaren<\/a>\u201d"Het laat zien hoe vapen kan worden ingezet als hulpmiddel om het volledige potentieel voor de volksgezondheid te benutten." Dit ging gepaard met een kunstinstallatie getiteld "Don't Let 19 Million Lives Fall", een boodschap die tussen oktober en november 2022 in tien steden in zes landen te zien zal zijn.<\/p>\n

De WVA-campagne bereikt Oost-Europa.<\/h4>\n

Vervolgens lanceerde de WVA de campagne in Praag, waar de richtlijn van de groep inzake e-sigarettenproducten werd gepresenteerd aan het Tsjechische ministerie van Volksgezondheid. Daarnaast organiseerde de WVA een protestkunstinstallatie in het centrum van Praag, bestaande uit een reeks omvallende dominostenen die de levens symboliseren die verloren zijn gegaan door ziekten veroorzaakt door roken.<\/p>\n

Michael Landl, directeur van WVA, legde uit waarom het gebruik van veiligere alternatieven duizenden levens kan redden. \u201cElk jaar sterven er in Europa meer dan 700.000 mensen en in Tsjechi\u00eb 17.000 mensen aan de gevolgen van roken. Dit zijn catastrofale aantallen als we bedenken hoeveel levens er gered zouden kunnen worden door consumentvriendelijke regelgeving voor e-sigaretten. Daarom hopen we dat de Tsjechische overheid haar inzet voor schadebeperking verder zal vergroten. De Tsjechische overheid moet zich ook verzetten tegen aanvallen op e-sigaretten en andere minder schadelijke alternatieven op EU-niveau. #BackVapingBeatSmoking-campagne <\/a>Het doel is om het bewustzijn te vergroten dat 19 miljoen levens in Europa gered zouden kunnen worden als we vapen omarmen als een krachtig hulpmiddel om te stoppen met roken, zowel in Tsjechi\u00eb als op EU-niveau.\u201d<\/p>\n
