Het agentschap kondigde aan dat...<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/news-events\/press-announcements\/fda-doj-seek-permanent-injunctions-against-six-e-cigarette-manufacturers?utm_source=CTPTwitter&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_campaign=ctp-enforcement\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> gezamenlijk persbericht<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> met het ministerie van Justitie afgelopen dinsdag, 18 oktober.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">e<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Volgens de FDA hebben &quot;elk van deze verdachten nagelaten om een aanvraag voor markttoelating in te dienen voor hun e-sigaretten en zijn ze doorgegaan met het illegaal produceren, verkopen en distribueren van hun producten, ondanks de eerdere waarschuwing van de FDA dat ze de wet overtraden.&quot;\u201c<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Voor het eerst verzoekt de Amerikaanse overheid de rechter om deze bedrijven permanent te verbieden hun eigen dampwaren te produceren en te verkopen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Deze bedrijven zijn kleine webshops die e-sigaretten verkopen; ze vertegenwoordigen geen grote bedrijven in de VS die deze producten produceren en verkopen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In een reactie van Amanda Wheeler, voorzitter van AVM, staat het volgende: <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c&quot;Meneer King lijkt er plezier in te scheppen om de deuren van kleine bedrijven in te trappen, maar sluit zijn ogen voor de miljoenen Amerikanen die nicotine-e-sigaretten gebruiken om te stoppen met roken,&quot; vervolgt ze. &quot;Als je een verbodsstrijder bent met een bijl, lijkt alles op een biervat.&quot;\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Helaas rest deze winkels door deze juridische stappen niets anders dan te sluiten. Dit betekent dat klanten die afhankelijk zijn van deze producten in de kou komen te staan, terwijl sigaretten nog steeds overal verkrijgbaar zijn bij gemakswinkels en benzinestations in deze gebieden.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hoewel de FDA denkt dat ze deze maatregelen nemen om &quot;kinderen te beschermen&quot; of zelfs om &quot;het publiek te beschermen&quot;, weten we maar al te goed dat deze stappen alleen volwassen consumenten schaden.
