Deze gevaarlijke en misleidende theorie is al lang geleden weerlegd door talloze studies, evenals door landelijke casestudies, zoals in Engeland waar meer dan 50.000 rokers vapes gebruiken als een opstapje naar roken. <em>uit<\/em> <em>van<\/em> (niet ge\u00efnteresseerd in) elk jaar roken.<\/p>\n<p>Michael Landl, directeur van de World Vapers&#039; Alliance (WVA), gaf de volgende reactie op het rapport:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201c&quot;Naast de vooringenomen, bangmakerij tegen vapen en de valse beweringen die erin worden uiteengezet, is de hele koers die in het laatste WHO-rapport wordt uitgezet onzinnig. In plaats van zich te richten op het allerbelangrijkste doel om roken te bestrijden, richt de WHO haar pijlen op vapen, het krachtigste hulpmiddel om te stoppen met roken ter wereld. Het is duidelijk dat ze het belangrijker vinden om zich aan te sluiten bij de bekrompen &#039;stoppen of sterven&#039;-aanpak die wordt geprezen door de miljardairsponsors van de WHO, zoals Mike Bloomberg. De realiteit is dat als de wereld het voorbeeld van de WHO volgt, minder rokers zullen stoppen en er meer zullen sterven als gevolg daarvan.&quot;\u2018<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Gezien de actief vijandige houding ten opzichte van vapen die door de WHO en haar aanhangers wordt gepromoot, heeft de WVA haar initiatief gelanceerd. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.backvapingbeatsmoking.com\/\">#BackVapingBeatSmoking<\/a> campagne. Het doel is politici te informeren over de 200 miljoen levens die wereldwijd gered kunnen worden door betere regelgeving rondom vapen, waarvan 19 miljoen in Europa.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201c&quot;De realiteit is dat de WHO systematisch de overvloed aan wetenschappelijk bewijs negeert dat wijst op de voordelen van vapen, om nog maar te zwijgen van de ervaringen uit de eerste hand van miljoenen vapers. Onderzoek van Public Health England heeft aangetoond dat vapen <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/e-cigarettes-around-95-less-harmful-than-tobacco-estimates-landmark-review\"><em>95% minder schadelijk<\/em><\/a><em> Vergeleken met roken is vapen een effectievere methode om te stoppen met roken dan traditionele therapie\u00ebn zoals kauwgom en pleisters.
