Instead, let\u2019s look at the facts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVaping is 95% less harmful than smoking, and vaping is recommended as a way to quit smoking in the UK. Moreover, recently vaping there has even begun to be encouraged in hospitals. France, Canada and New Zealand hold the same position,\u201d added Chaplia.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In the UK today, about 25% fewer people smoke than in 2013, when vaping became popular, while in Australia, for example, one of the countries with the strictest regulation of vaping, during the same period there was a decline of only 8%.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As for the ban on flavored e-cigarettes, last month the Yale School of Public Health published a groundbreaking study that demonstrates that this approach is unfounded. According to the results, the probability of high school students to start smoking regular cigarettes has doubled due to the above-mentioned ban. In addition, flavors help smokers quit smoking. Vapers that use flavors are 2.3 times more likely to quit than those who use tobacco-flavored e-cigarettes,\u201d added<strong> Michael Landl<\/strong>, director of the World Vapers\u2019 Alliance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cElectronic cigarettes are a way to quit smoking, so they cannot be equated with traditional cigarettes. Banning advertising will reduce the chances of heavy smokers learning about the possibility of switching to a safer way of consuming nicotine.
